Jute [jüt)]: a versatile natural plant fiber, also called the "golden fiber," derived from the bark of the white jute plant (Corchorus capsularis). Jute is 100% biodegradable and recyclable and is the second most important vegetable fiber after cotton, in terms of usage, global consumption, production, and availability.
Uses: crafting, carpet backing, sprouting seeds, bagging plant root balls, bulbs, etc., wrapping vegetation for winter.
Linen [lin-uh n]: cloth made of flax and noted for its strength, coolness, and luster. Linen is a very durable, strong fabric, and one of the few that are stronger wet than dry.
Uses: apparel, bedding, tablecloths & napkins, handkerchiefs
