*Organic cotton is not affected by needle heat, pressing or steaming, the thread strength increases when it is wet. If coating is required for hand sewing, use beeswax.
Tex 70 is a heavy-duty thread, formulated for denim, canvas, and upholstery fabrics. It is our most durable thread for stitching that needs to hold up under stress.
Cones are put up on recyclable plastic cones that are individually wrapped in compostable, vegetable-based plastic to keep the thread and the environment clean!
Natural colored thread has not been processed in any way except washing, it is perfect for piece-dyeing (overdyeing). Colored thread will not bleed or fade and the colors are not effected by washing.
Tex 40 and Tex 70 in Natural color have not been lightened or dyed. The cotton has simply been washed and spun, to support manufacturers who piece dye and for the safety of our customers with MCS.

This fabric is made in Peru by a family run business that operates under Fair Trade standards and supports more than 160 local families. Their organic practices keep the land free of chemical fertilizers and pesticides. The cotton is hand picked, reducing the environmental impact and improving the quality of the cotton. The colorgrown cotton used in this cloth is a wild variety native to Peru, and its cultivation has rescued it from extinction. Tanguis white cotton is high quality and very absorbant.
In the Garden is the result of blissful hours spent sitting in my garden, sketching plants and the creatures that love them. Last spring, my husband and I replaced our lawn with a new garden full of drought tolerant and native plants (less water, more biodiversity!), and it has been amazing to watch the butterflies, bees and humming birds flock to our yard every morning.
