Quilter's Cotton & Other Plain Weaves

Quilter's Cotton is a plain weave cloth of 3.5-4.5 ounce/square yard, and it is available in solid and printed patterns.  Our quilting cottons are produced from the finest quality organic cotton and are dyed or printed with low impact fiber reactive dyes.  While these fabrics are perfect for quilting, they can also be used for:

 

  • Tote bags and liners for heavier bags made from twill or duck
  • Children's clothing
  • Masks
  • Crafts
  • Home Decorating Projects

Muslin and Broadcloth are plain weave fabrics that have a multitude of uses.  Our GOTS Certified 4.5 ounce Muslin is one of our best sellers.  The hemp/organic cotton muslin are available in a wide range of weights (from 3.5 to 8 ounces/square yard).  Muslin can be used for: 

 

  • Quilts
  • Shirting and other Clothing
  • Crafts

Duck and Canvas are heavy weight plain weave fabrics.  Their weight and the structure of the plain weave make these among the most durable and hard wearing fabrics.  These can be use for:

  • Futon Mattresses
  • Hammocks
  • Boat Covers
  • Heavy Jackets and other Outerwear

Voile, Batiste, and Gauze are sheer lightweight plain weave fabrics.  They are soft and drapes well.  These fabrics can be used for:
